Dear public.pixelentropy.eu/mdct-new users,
The scientific community is constantly working to develop new approaches for reducing the radiation dose of MDCT exams without compromising the accuracy of this valuable diagnostic imaging modality. Several examples of these research efforts are presented in this newsletter.
Two recently published studies are analyzed here in detail. The first study tested a high-iodine delivery protocol for pulmonary CT angiography, while the second investigated a dose-lowering protocol for adenosine-stress dynamic myocardial perfusion imaging. The e-book chapter selected for you also reviews dose-lowering methods in CT of the lung and heart, while the newly proposed clinical cases illustrate these methods in practice. Finally, the three e-lectures here included discuss the latest technology for minimizing radiation dose in the context of a patient-oriented view and a personalized medicine.
We welcome suggestions for new topics to be covered in future issues: please send your ideas to editorial@public.pixelentropy.eu/mdct-new.
